I picked up the Prince Valiant Storytellers Game earlier this year, mainly because I'm a big fan of the comic and have been since I was a kid. But I missed it when it first game out in 1989 - I probably was thinking that it wasn't a "serious game" and so I missed the opportunity, until this year. And while I've not had the chance yet to read it, it's on my stack and ready to go.There's one review on RPG.net (1) which gives the game excellent props.

That's one game I'd be interested to check out the mechanics of. I seem to remember armour being quite effective, and injuries very severe, in the Valiant-stories.
ReplyDeleteThere was/is a move to get Greg Stafford to update it. I believe he asked the rights holders and their response was "yeah sure go ahead..."
