Dog Days: A Get Ready, Get Set, Go! Labyrinth Lord adventure set in the Ashford Valley.
Get Ready:
The PCs are stalked by wild dogs and their "little" friend.
Get Set:
The PCs are traveling between the towns, probably across country, not on any known track. Maybe they're seeking a magic cave or a silent sage. A pack of wild dogs find them and starts hunting them. Unbeknownst to the PCs, the pack "adopted" a young owl-bear a few years ago. Now the owl-bear is part of the pack, and while not the Alpha, is a valued member.
Go!:
The PCs hear the dogs before they see them. For about an hour, the PCs are harried by them with the dogs making lightning fast strikes from hiding before disappearing into the forest again. This continues at least until the first few dogs are wounded or killed. That's when the berserk owl-bear busts through the folliage and attacks!
