I've been reading Lamentations of the Flame Princess (the official blog of the game) for a while now and found nice bits.
For example, Raggi's advice on how to find players is spot on. And, if you are looking for players, then the first thing you need to do is to actually work at getting players. That's right: Work at it.

It does indeed take a bit of effort to get a gaming group going! It doesn't usually just "magically" happen.
ReplyDeleteForming a game group is very much work and it requires being proactive and being aware of who's around (both in person and online). Player recruitment is an ongoing process to ensure the life of the group.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I have been very proactive in the past two years with my two different gaming groups. Since we game in a game shop, I take every opportunity to chat up new people in the store to add to the group and welcome any and all friends from the other gamers in the group.
