[Cat] Lt. Dan, A Lament

Tonight I will raise a parting glass to Lt. Dan. It's been three years to the day since he passed away, our beautiful orange tabby with a snarky attitude. If he could shoot us all with his laser-cat-eyes, he would (with me probably as the first target).

He was a good boy, though. And he is missed.

Today, we celebrate having our three kittens for 1 year! That's Bumble in the chair with Jack guarding the prisoner above, and Charley laying on the carpet below.

We got them when they were three months old and the hottest day of the summer (IIRC, it was 103 degrees). Wow! Crazy weather!

I'd never had kittens before and, while they are quite the handful, they're worth every moment. Over the past year, they've developed into very personable, very individual and very quirky cats and we're so glad they came to stay with us.

Even though we've been through a lot this past year, the Lab Rats made the year that much better.

[My Collection] Cat by John Wick

I bought John Wick's Cat a couple of years ago, simply because of the subject matter. RPG.net has a few reviews on it (1, 2). Wicked Dead Brewing Company has good info on the game and there's even a character sheet.

In celebration of my three kittens birthday, I'll be posting their write-up in Cat terms over the next week or so.

[Cats] Training My Cats to Kill Fairies

Yes, that's right.

I've been training my cats to kill fairies. You know, the Rackham kind, with the floaty wings, tiny, tiny fairies. Annoying buggers, all.

The gf and I have three kittens, nearly nine months old, all brothers: Colonel Yukon "Bumble" Cornelius, Royal Fusiliers - Retired, Charles Wellington Aloysius Midnight and Gentleman Jackson Kinai Elliot (Bumble, Charley and Jack for short).

And I found a butterfly cat toy with the wings by Go Cat.

Training is going pretty well.

I feel sorry for any fairie that gets into the house.
